The Art of Firearms

The Art of Firearms

What is Hojutsu-Ryu?
Hojutsu-Ryu is the ancient Japanese phrase for "the Art of Gunnery."
As practiced today, Hojutsu-Ryu is the combination of the Modern Technique of the Pistol and traditional Japanese budo.  Hojutsu trains in various firearms, including handgun, rifle and shotgun; we also train in unarmed defense, various impact weapons, edged weapons and ground fighting.  However, Hojutsu is primarily a shooting art. Students of Hojutsu-Ryu will study to become master level marksmen in the use of the pistol, carbine, shotgun and precision rifle as well as combat strategy and movement.

According to Lt. Col. David Grossman: "I am a graduate of Front Sight, Gun Site, Sig Arms Academy and many military and mil spec ops schools, and Hojutsu-Ryu has been the best firearms training I have ever experienced.  It brought me up to a whole new level  of personal performance.  Soke Hall is a supernatural shooter.  Far and away the best shot I have ever seen.  He is a legendary law enforcement officer, Army Ranger, and much more.”  Lt. Col. David Grossman is a Retired Army Ranger, Former Instructor at West Point, Nominated for a Pulitzer Prize, world's authority on the psychology and prevention of school shootings.
